Sauna Soap
Many folks up here in Duluth have referred to our soap as “sauna soap”. So, now, that’s what it is!
Home saunas are very common around here. And sudsin’ off in or right outside the sauna is common. Our lard and tallow soaps are very dense and stand up well to the head of the sauna, not melting and keeping their form for a long time.
Our Cardamom soap is scented only with pure cardamom essential oil. It’s ivory white, firm, fresh and kind of Scandinavian.
Our Charcoal and Tea Tree soap is scented only with pure tea tree essential oil and comes with the exfoliating, detoxifying powers of activated charcoal. Like the cardamom, these black bars are firm, fresh and kind of Scandinavian.
Our soaps are produced by Trivium Botanicals, run by our Duluth friend Tara Stone. We give her buckets of rendered, pastured raised pork lard and grass-fed beef tallow and she makes soap for us! It’s a sweet deal. Lard and tallow produce a silky, bubbly suds that is extremely mild on the skin.
