Our 5lb vacuum sealed bags of back fat are perfect for your sausage (and other forcemeat) making adventures. The back fat from our pasture raised, heritage breed pigs is dense, firm and clean tasting. It’s great for blending with lean beef and really shines when you combine it with lean wild game meats. We’ve used to to make pheasant, goose, elk, venison and turkey sausage.
Please reach out with any sausage making questions. We have a lot of respect for home sausage makers and we’d love for our fat to help you make the best sausage yet! Our preferred way of using it is to cut it into small cubes and freeze before grinding with your other meats.
Delivery
We deliver (locally) or ship in our biodegradable boxes nationwide. All of our products are produced in inspected facilities with strict sanitary guidelines and are flash frozen before delivery. We will contact you via email when your delivery is scheduled.
